1) yep all email attachments are included
2) That's how it's set up. I assume its because a) Blackberry don;t want their network clogged by multimedia traffic b) lets the carriers make money by charging for wap data

- Goto Options->Advanced Options-> TCP. remove the APN info. & disable this
- Goto Options->Advanced Options-> Browser & make sure the default browsers are (I think it's Blackberry Brwoser or Internet Browser.
4) Email & Blackberry browser use the free data
lastly you should be able to ask Optus to disable WAP on your sim. (don't let them say you can't as Blackberry needs it, it doesn't).
