FWIW I use Skype a fair bit (including Skypeout) on my laptop to family and friends in USA and Europe, so have some understanding of the product.

I use iSkoot on BES so I get unlimited data via the server so I can't confirm how it works on BIS. I have to say it does have an annoying echo issue which is due to the slow data speed.
