Im curious how to unlock it correctly. When I was in Australia in 2006 I had a V3 RAZR from the USA and I took it to a Telstra center and the asian lady there was confusing and told me I could not use my Razr in Australia. I was a bit rushed, so I didnt dwell on it but I have friends here telling me it can be done but I have to unlock it.
If anybody has any links on unlocking an 8100 for Australian networks, I would greatly appreciate it. I have about a month to figure this out lol.
cheers

Hi,
To unlock a BlackBerry device all you need to do is request the unlock code from the carrier you purchased the device from. Once you have the code you just follow these few steps:
1. Go to Options
2. Select Advanced Options
3. Select SIM Card
4. In SIM Card type MEPPD
5. Press the Alt key and type MEPP2
6. Enter unlock code
Thanks,
Gary
