NO worries, now I know this I can use it in the future. For the moment I will leave it, any important notes I will just re-forward.
I also have a ("non-technical") friend on Optus who is reluctant to do the upgrade as they have tons of emails they use as reference, which they don't want to lose from the handheld - I will let them know about the manual backup & restore option, & see if that gives them enough reassurance to try..... at their own risk, of course
(whistles nonchalantly)
By the way, thanks for all the hours you put in to address these diverse queries, when I see the work you put into maintaining this forum I'm impressed and grateful (also amazed at how little sleep you must get
