Hi,
To restore the icon to the screen all you need to do is as follows:
1. On you device go to the home screen (i.e. the screen will all the icons)
2. Press the menu button (left of the trackball) and Show All
3. Locate and highlight the Profiles icon which show be shown greyed out.
4. Press the menu button whilst Profiles is highlighted and unselect Hide
5. Press the menu button and unselect Show All
