Unable to upgrade from BES 4.1.4 to any upgrade

Hi All,

I have a strange one.

Background Info: We have 3 BES servers sharing the one SQL database. BES(1) is in Melbourne and hosts the database and SQL application - we intend to move SQL off onto it's own dedicated box. BES(2) is in Perth and was put in after we realised that BES(1) was giving us bad latency. BES(1) was running out of disk space and the source software was deleted off the server. Both servers were running smoothly. When it was time to install MR4 we were unable to as the software was complaining that it was looking for the source software <sigh>. BES(1) and BES(2) were originally installed with BES4.1 then SP2 and then SP4.
Last week, we installed BES(3) with a pure BES4.1.4 in Perth with a temporary SRP and moved everyone off BES(2) to BES(3). This Thursday (21/8), we are looking to transfer the full SRP from BES(2) to BES(3) and we were recommended to install SP6 beforehand (see my previous thread and concern "How to change from temporary to permanent license SRP"). We were confident that SP6 would work on BES(1) as SP's are almost like new installs, as opposed to MR's. To test if an error comes up straight away before our install this Thursday, when we ran the setup.exe, we get the following error (see attached window error and text from install log - could just get the last lines to allow for upload).
This error appears on BES(1) and BES(2) yet we are pretty sure that it will work on BES(3) because when we run the SP6 setup, the licence agreement step appears which is a good sign that all will be good.
** Any help is appreciated.**
BTW - RIM recommend that we remove BES4.1.4 from BES(1) and then install fresh. They say that the users will have an outage (which we have scheduled anyway with SP6 upgrade but since all the info is in the SQL database, nothing will be lost)
