Sorry to disturb you again, but I just forgot to mention this point. My requirement is as follow.

Present Server:
BES 4.1, Windows 2003 , Exchange 2003

Proposed Server:
BES 4.1, Windows 2008, Exchange 2007

Details: We want to migrate our present BES 4.1 on Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2007 which is on Windows 2008.

According to me, I think , I need to perform following steps.

1) Get the machine ready with Windows 2008 and Exchange 2007 installed on it.
2) Then, I need to migrate BESAdmin A/C from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2007
3) Then as per your steps, will give permissions to BESAdmin from Mgmt Shell
4) Then I will take backup of MSDE from old BES and restore it to new BES
5) Then, I will start installing BES on new server
6) After that, will follow configuration steps
7) Then, will move all mailboxes from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2007

Queries:
1) Will I require new PIN or License to install BES on new server
2) After installing BES on new server and migrating mailboxes to Exch 2007, how I will migrate users from old BES to new BES

I would like to request you to refer the above steps and lemme know the best suitable way to do this migration..Kindly lemme know if I am missing anything...

Hi,

Two issues I can see is that Windows 2008 is not fully supported and you really shouldn't install BES on an Exchange 2007 server. Also when you move the database it moves all the licensing information and users.
