    Hi,

    1. Download and install the latest firmware onto your PC.
    2. If you are running firmware from another carrier go into c:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Apploader and delete the vendor.xml file. Also if you are using another carrier’s firmware and you are running Desktop Manager 4.7 or above disconnect your PC from the internet.
    3. Open Desktop Manager > Select Application Loader > Select Update > On the update screen select Options.

    Thanks,

    Gary

Is the firmware that you have loaded on the PC from the carrier that originally distributed the device?

Technically it should work correctly but for the best results on an x64 OS I would recommend upgrade to DM 5.0 and then reinstall the latest firmware.

    BlackBerry Desktop Manager v5.0

If you can only see the official 3 OS you need to ensure the vendor.xml file is deleted and your computer is disconnected from the internet (e.g. you unplug the network cable ort turn off the router). The reason you need to disconnect from the internet is that Desktop Manager 4.7 and above check online to ensure update from your carrier are displayed (i.e. it is ignoring that the vendor.xml file has been deleted).
