Unable to complete request error when attempting to synchronize

Problem
While synchronizing your BlackBerry device using BlackBerry Desktop Manager, you receive the following error message:
Unable to complete Request
Cause
This error is caused by a corrupt configuration folder.
Resolution
To correct this error, complete the following steps:
- Delete the Intellisync® folder found in C:\Documents and Settings\<user profile>\Application Data\Research In Motion\BlackBerry.
- Connect your BlackBerry device to your computer.
- Open BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
- Open Synchronize and then click on the Configuration tab.
- Click Configure synch.
- Select the applications that you want to synchronize, and then click OK.
- Click the Synchronize tab, and then click Synchronize now.
