Ring time

How can I extend the ring time as users complain about the shorter ring time.

Hi Aaron,

To change the amount of ring time before diversion you need to dial the following code from your phone application:

Telstra Message Bank Users:

**61*101*11*25# (Press Send)

OPTUS Message Bank Users:
**61*321**25# (Press Send)

This command will extend your ring time before diversion from 15 to 25 seconds. When you change the diversion time it should be done in blocks of 5 to a maximum of 30 (e.g 15, 20, 25 or 30).

Thanks,

Gary

What service provider are you with? Some providers need different setups to ensure the Blackberry can send and receive MMS.

Hi Gary,

It there a code for Vodafone in Australia? I'd been using the new 8310 for week now and it's annoying that the phone rings 3 times and diverts to message bank. Many thanks

To enable MMS you will just need to contact Optus and request that MMS is enabled on your account. Once it is enabled just restart your device and test if you are able to send and receive. If you have any issues call Optus support and have them check the MMS code and do some testing with them.
