Address Book Problems (adds+1 to number)

Dear all,

I have just purchased an 8310 which appears to be from the USA (AT&T branding on it). I have placed my Telstra SIM card in it with my address book in it. When I call any of the numbers, it says the number is disconnected. This is because the Blackberry has inserted a +1 in front of all the numbers. Can anybody assist with a solution?

Many thanks,

Mark

Hi Mark,

The first thing we need to try is changing the country code. To make this change simply follow these steps:

1. Open the Phone application by pressing send or selecting Call Log
2. From the Phone application press the menu button (to the left of the trackball) and select Options
3. From Options select Smart Dialling and ensure the country code is set to +61 and the National Number Length in 9
4. Exit & Save

Once you have had a chance to test this setting please post back.

Thanks,

Gary
