8310 Help

I have the 8310 curve and have the following problems.

1. My camera, on trying to take a photo displays teh following message "Could not start camera. Close other applications and try opening camera again".....nothing works

2. Is there an auto lock option so after every call it locks itself

Anyone got any clues to help me out with these issues....Thanks

Hi,

It appears there is some corruption in your device firmware. In this case I would connect the device to a PC and open Blackberry Desktop Manager and perform a backup. Once the backup is complete on the device go to Options > Security Options > General Settings > Press the menu button and select "Wipe Handheld". Once the unit is finished the wipe from Desktop Manager restore the backup to the device. If you are connected to a BES server you will have to reactivate the device once the data is restored. Please let us know how you go.

Thanks,

Gary

The best thing that I can offer here is:
1. Go to OPTIONS
2. Scroll to find SECURITY OPTIONS and click
3. Click on GENERAL SETTINGS
4. Then either: a. SECURITY TIMEOUT: change to 1 minute (ie. locks the keypad after phone is idle for 1 minute) or b. LOCK HANDHELD UPON HOLSTERING (ie. placed into its leather/leatherette case): change to yes.
5. Save changes.

Hope this helps
