unfortunately there is no solution for prepaid users.
the best thing she can do is ditch the bb and get a winmo device.

sure its anal and terrible, but at the end of the day, my device is stable and secure im not complaining about that one bit

Hey all.. im on Vodafone prepaid and had to buy the extra pack for data... only to be told i cant use the internet because it uses BES...

I only want to use it for my GPS (NAV4ALL - Great free software)...

Does anyone have any suggestions??

Again you might be best taking a wait and see approach to this one. Indonesia released a PrePaid BlackBerry option last month. I have not heard anything about it being introduced yet but it COULD be just around the corner...
