Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8300/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/122)

Hi guys, I have an 8300 to which I have set up bluetooth connection for a Nokia earpiece, Nokia stereo headphones, and a Freedom Universal Keyboard.

Over time I have noticed that the bluetooth setup (under Bluetooth in options) for the keyboard seems to effect the performance of both Nokia devices (the music streaming to the headphones is stop start and not continuous). I worked this out by comparing when the keyboard's bluetooth setup is loaded onto the 8300 and when it has been removed (when removed, the Nokia devices work perfectly).

Any suggestions here, enabling me to have all setup on bluetooth without effecting performance? (I actually only use one device at a time mind).

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

As this stage you may be affected by the limitations of the device or firmware. My suggestion would be to test firmware 4.5 when it is released within the next few months.

Thanks,

Gary

Okay, did what Gary suggested, and downloaded firmware 4.5... went to the gym yesterday and used my Nokia Stereo Bluetooth headphones.... and they worked fine!

Perhaps the new firmware did the trick..... thanks Gary!

Shall keep an eye on it over the next couple of weeks and report back

Thanks Gary.... me too... so far so good, and I have also found that I get an extra couple of metres range between the Curve and the bluetooth headphones.... perfect when going off to grab some gym equipment from one end to the other
