Messenger

Hi All,

I am just wondering if the Live Messenger download from the Blackberry site http://www.blackberry.com/devicesoft...ry.do?code=wlm will work with my Vodafone 8310 ?

Cheers
Dave

Hi,

The ability to use Live Messenger on a BlackBerry device is dependent on your network carrier having support for this application. If your device has a service book for Messenger then it will work otherwise you will not be able to use this application. To confirm what service books you have go to "Options > Advanced Options > Service Book". As an alternative you can look at IM+ as this supports MSN / Windows Live Messenger, AOL/iChat, Yahoo, ICQ, Jabber and Google Talk. You can find more information on IM+ HERE.

Thanks,

Gary

If the network has not enabled it then it simply will not work. No harm to your device(s) will result in installing it.
If you do go ahead and decide to install, please let us know if it does work with Vodafone.

Well went to the site to install the software on my BB but apparently my Device does not meet the specifications. It must be the OS system version or something.

Thought that might be the case. From the way the Beta OS is operating now, I can't see that an official release will be too far away.
