Unhappy 8310 Synch & 're-booting' problems

Hi,

I have just got my first blackberry (8310 Curve) & while it is working I am having 2 big problems! First, it decides to turn itself off at least twice a day -for no apparent reason. It can happen when I am on the phone or if it is just sitting on the table not being used.
The 2nd problem is that when I synched my blackberry with Outlook it wiped 2 years of previous calendar appointments! I got the data back and found out that I should go to the calander options tab on the device & select 'keep all appointments forever' option - the problem is I do not have this option anywhere on the menu's of my device. I have been told that the BB have a default setting to only update/synch the past 3 months and deletes everything previous.

Please someone help me!!

Kathy

Hi Kathy,
I had the exact same thing with a recently purchased 8310 Curve. (a little more often than that, but same issue. If the device is under warranty then return it to place of purchase.
To change the Calender option try;
'Calender'>
click applications key (LHS of Trackball)>
scroll down to 'Options'>
select>
scroll to 'General Options'>
select>
scroll to 'Keep Appointments'>
select>
change option to 'Forever'>
select>
exit and save changes.
This should rectify your Calender sync issue.
If you still have any problems please post back.
