8330 maximum days/messages to hold!

Hello,
I've got a guy that is one of those people that doesn't organize his Outlook folders at all really. He just leaves everything in his inbox.
I set his Curve up last week and over the week-end something happened and now it only shows the last two days of messages. I set his handheld up to reconsile on 'Mailbox and Handheld' etc..
I deleted his user in BES and reloaded it and everythings back to a certain point...what are the limitations with this?

Thanks much.

Hi,

When you activate a new device the default pre-population settings are 5 days or 200 messages. Depending on your BES version this can be changed to 14 days and 750 messages. Depending on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server software version, complete one of the following procedures:

BlackBerry Enterprise Server software version 4.1
  1. Open BlackBerry Manager.
  2. Click the BlackBerry Enterprise Server name.
  3. On the Server Configuration tab, select Edit Properties.
  4. Click Messaging.
  5. In the Message Pre-population section, type values for the maximum number of days and maximum number of messages.
Note: These values cannot be greater than 14 days and 750 messages.
BlackBerry Enterprise Server software version 4.0
  1. Open BlackBerry Manager.
  2. Right-click the BlackBerry Enterprise Server name.
  3. Select BlackBerry Server Properties.
  4. On the Pre-Population tab, type values for the maximum number of days and maximum number of messages.
Note: In BlackBerry Enterprise Server software version 4.0 Service Pack 4 and later, these values cannot be greater than 7 days and 350 messages.

Thanks,

Gary
