Two Curve problems

Re my Curve:

1) I am not receiving messages on my Blackberry. I am getting them on my computer, but not the unit. I seem to be sending them fine.

2) my battery, all of a sudden (within the last 48 hours) is not lasting long. Seems to go flat within a night, whereas usually it would last a day or so.

Any help?

Hi Noddy,

Welcome to the forum..... I will leave 1) for the experts around here.

Regarding your battery.... is the Curve new, or approximately how old? I had a Curve which suffered the same problem and it was very new.... battery was defective... replaced under warranty.

But mine went all of a sudden.

Have you someone you can swap batteries with to compare?

Also.... check out this thread (the search forum function can be very helpful for me)\

Hi,

I assume you are using the BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) to receive emails? If this is the case you need to log onto BIS web client and confirm that your email account isn't disabled (e.g. it’s common that you have to re-enter your email password). If you please provide more information on how your email and Blackberry are configured so we can further assist in resolving your issue.

Thanks,

Gary

cheers guys.

1) I had a pre-existing work e-mail with which I could always get on my Blackberry (and work computer). Come the weekend I stopped getting them on the phone, but still at work. As I said it seems I can still send them from my phone.

2) Battery must be less than 1 year old.

Thanks

Hi,
The battery issue could be an issue with running a 3rd party application you have running in the background. Or maybe you have your GPS running in the background. Either can drain a battery quite quickly.

Could be a fault with the current battery..... do you have someone you can swap a battery with to check perhaps?

Normally in this situation you need check with your works I.T Administrator if anything has changed. Also if you are on BIS you need to log onto your web client and confirm your account is still configured correctly (e.g. you may need to re-enter your password).
