Problem
Regardless of the number of Calendar entries on the BlackBerry smartphone, the value of
Number of Entries in the Calendar options is always
0.
Each time a wired synchronization occurs, any Calendar entries created on the BlackBerry smartphone are not transferred to the email client. Also, any entries in the email client are transferred to the BlackBerry smartphone, even if they already exist. As a result, duplicate appointments are created on the BlackBerry smartphone.
This issue does not affect BlackBerry smartphone user accounts that are associated with a BlackBerry® Enterprise Server.
Cause
For a BlackBerry smartphone that is not activated on a BlackBerry Enterprise Server, all Calendar entries are saved to the base system calendar. Entries in the base system calendar are only recognized by the calendar application itself. Therefore, any external application (Backup and Restore, Intellisync®, PocketMac for BlackBerry smartphones, etc.) does not recognize the calendar entries. Creating new entries in the email client might prevent this issue from occurring. Duplicate entries can still appear on the BlackBerry device.
The
Number of Entries in the Calendar options shows the number of calendar entries in the service calendar (BlackBerry Enterprise Server).
