Should be released by the end of September but expect some leaked versions to start appearing very soon.

What is causing the delay for launching OS 6.0 for BB8520.

Please share when can we expect the same now??

OS6 won’t be released for the 8520 as confirmed by the following information on the RIM website:

"Compatibility with Existing BlackBerry Smartphones

BlackBerry 6 will debut on the new BlackBerry® Torch™ smartphone (announced today) available from AT&T on August 12 and it is also designed to run on select BlackBerry smartphones already in market. Subject to carrier certifications in the months ahead, the new OS is expected to be available for the BlackBerry® Bold™ 9700, BlackBerry® Bold™ 9650 and BlackBerry® Pearl™ 3G, as well as future BlackBerry smartphones."

what a bummer! after so much looking forward to and the next thing is that OS 6.0 wont be available for curve 8520.
and i was beginning to enjoy the fone. maybe i'd go for an iphone 4 instead.

As an FYI the new Curve 3G will support OS6.

Well that's nt fair on the point of blackberry.
They must give all there users the best experience

dear Gary...Please tell wther my BB 8520 does nt support that OS 6.0 ??

Or the BB providers are not willing to provide 8520 curve the attention it deserves.

In india it is the most running blackberry phone.You must take care of us.
