Problem
The BlackBerry smartphone displays a null error and the Messages, Browser, and t-zones® icons disappear when the BlackBerry smartphone user attempts to open the Messages application.
Cause
Issues with the Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card cause this error.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, complete the following steps:
- Back up the BlackBerry smartphone. See KB11625 for more information.
- Delete data from the BlackBerry smartphone. See KB02318 for more information.
- Send service books to the BlackBerry smartphone. See KB02830 for more information.
- Restore data to the BlackBerry smartphone. See KB10339 for more information.
Additional Information
Note: If the Messages, Browser, and t-zones icons do not reappear, the BlackBerry smartphone user should contact T-Mobile® support to have the SIM card replaced.
