8707g: Problem with plastic holster

I recently acquired an 8707g but when I insert it in the plastic holster that came with it part of the body of the holster presses on one of the keys, usually the a, q or p and a message comes up about assigning a speed dial to the letter. I can still take calls but the main problem is that the screen stays on draining the battery power. Is anyone else having similar problems?

Hi David,

I assume you have the holster as pictured below? If so you need to ensure that the screen and keyboard are facing inwards was inserted, this would then leave the back of the case facing outwards. If you already have the device holstered correctly it "may" be possible you have received the wrong holster, or it may be faulty.
