8707v on "3" network, service book & browser problem.

Hi I just got a blackberry 8707v which is branded with Vodafone.

It is currently unlocked and I checked it with Optus, Three, and Vodafone.
I also upgraded my firmware version to 4.2

The problem is I am missing browser on the menu. However I can go on browser if I hold 'ALT' and press 'ESC' key and when I go on browser it says

"YOUR DEVICE DOES NOT CURRENTLY HAVE ANY BROWSER CONFIGURATION
SERVICE BOOK ENTRIES

PLEASE CONTACT YOUR SERVICE PROVIDER TO ENABLE THE BROWSER ON YOUR DEVICE"

I am subscribed to a $49 cap plan on "3" network. My BB indicates that I am under 3G coverage. Voice call and SMS work fine. Just I can't go on the internet and I don't have browser on the menu(I can go on browser with holding alt and esc though).

How do I get service book for "3" ?? Do I have to be on a business cap plan or Blackberry plan on 3?? Though 8707v is branded as Vodafone but it has no problem with other sim cards. When I plug "Optus" sim card in and go on browser it starts working like loading the webpage. ( I couldn't check it out fully cuz it wasn't my sim card so i couldn't spend the credit on it )

Anyway what should I do to get service book and get my BB's BIS working?
like receiving and sending e-mails.

I can sync tasks, calendar, and contacts stuff with my outlook 2007
but I can't sync e-mails with my BB. Is that because my e-mail inbox hasn't been set up properly since I don't have any service book??

Please anyone uses 8707v on 3 network and got it working the push e-mail functionality?

Hi there,

You're saying that you're on the $49 cap (voice) plan.

My guess is that you 're not on a BB (email) plan, am I right?

To use a BB as it was intended to you have to sign up for a BlackBerry plan with 3 which will set you back another $30 dollars a month. This will also get you the service books and with it the correct configuration on your device.
