Will the Blackberry 8800 work in Korea & Japan

Hi,

I just travelled from Korea and japan where my BB 8800 did not detect any networks at all.

I contacted Telstra and they verified my SIM was set correctly (it did operate in Singapore) and were unsure if the BB 8800 was able to operate in Korea or Japan.

Could you please advise ?

In Japan only 3G devices will work on Global Roaming and unfortunately the 8800 isn't 3G or NextG compatible, also at last check Korea only supports standard GPRS coverage and not BlackBerry. Please review the link below as it lists the only countries that Telstra devices will be able to access BlackBerry services whilst roaming.
