Problem
When performing a wireless enterprise activation on a BlackBerry 8800 smartphone running BlackBerry Device Software 4.2, the activation process stops at 11% on the
Time Zones database.
This issue occurs when running BlackBerry Enterprise Server software version 4.1 Service Pack 2 with a BlackBerry Enterprise Server software version 4.1 Service Pack 3 database.
Cause
BlackBerry Enterprise Server software version 4.1 Service Pack 3 has changed
globalmappings so that the time zone is now handled by BlackBerry device management.
Resolution
Upgrade to BlackBerry Enterprise Server software version 4.1 Service Pack 3 or to BlackBerry Enterprise Server software version 4.0 Service Pack 6.
Additional Information
This issue will also likely occur when running BlackBerry Enterprise Server software version 4.0 Service Pack 5 or earlier with a BlackBerry Enterprise Server software version 4.0 Service Pack 6 database.
