Unhappy Weather Icon

Very recently, my 'weather icon' refuses to change from a specific item, in this case 'DNS FOG' 64F/18C'

If I log onto the weather website, there it provides me with the current forecast for five days, but the icon on the smartphone desktop never changes.

Any ideas?

What weather app are you using? and I'm assuming this is on your BB8800

Yes, you assume correctly, it is an 8830. I'm in the US, using Accuweather Push Services, from what I can tell. Just to be clear, until recently, each time I went to the site to check the weather, it did report the 5 day forecast and when I returned to the desktop the icon showed the current 'weather'. However, a few days ago the icon appeared as I described and no matter how many times I check the forecast, and get the correct 5 day forecast, the damn icon remains the same.

Thanks.

What happens when you restart the device? What version of Accuweather are you running? e.g. AccuWeather.com Premium v3.0 for 8800

OK, here's my reply.

First, I deleted the selected city from the website viz the Blackberry. I then powered down the BB, removed the battery and re-started. Then went back on site and re-entered info. This time no 'icon' appeared. Then after synching and shutting down overnight, the icon re-appeared today with it's then current info. After all day the 'icon' has again not changed, even though the forecast has changed.

Also, to clarify, not sure that this is AccuWeather, but rather a 'Push Service' provided by RIM that is 'powered' by Accuweather.

I truly appreciate all the efforts, but it looks like I may just need to get over this one, it's not that big a deal, but thanks anyway.

I have had quite a few problems with AccuWeather on my 8300. I have found the most reliable way of getting current weather updates from them is to delete all subscriptions then re-subscribe but this time set them to notify you via message twice a day. You will receive the 5 day updates at really weird hours so make sure you set on to silent at night time. You will not receive any updates over the weekend.
Best of luck.
Kind Regards
Greg
