moving icons

The 8800 has an abbreviated desktop and then the full desktop. Is it possible to add some of the icons from the full desktop to the initial abbreviated desktop?
Also is it possible to hide the abbreviated desktop?

To remove the quick menu you just need to change the devices theme by going to Options > Themes and selecting BB Dimension Icon.

If you want to modify the quick menu all you need to do is change the top row of the full icon list. To change the top row highlight any icon you want to move or delete and then press the menu button (left of the trackball), once pressed a menu will appear displaying Move or Hide to which you select the appropriate option. If you have hidden icons and you want to return them you just press the menu button and select Show All and they will appear but greyed out. To restore them just highlight the greyed icon and press the menu button and unselect Hide.
