horizontal scroll not working?

Hi, I'm new here - just purchased my first Blackberry and love it.

Have been playing around a bit with it, (and may have adjusted some setting unknowingly) however I now can't scroll up-wards.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi Dasuben,

The only settings that may affect the trackballs scrolling ability is in "Options > Screen\Keyboard". In this menu at the bottom under "TrackBall" you will seen Horizontal and Vertical sensitivity which needs to be set at 70. If these options haven't been changed just restart your device by removing and replacing the battery. Let us know how you go.

Thanks,

Gary

Hi Gary,

Many thanks for your prompt reply - had difficulty scrolling through to these settings (as I couldn't go up!) and the settings are both at 70.

mmmmm, any thoughts or do I go back to Optus (where I got the phone)?

Cheers

Hey, just turning the phone off, took the battery out and re-started - voila, scrolling up and down now!

Thanks for your help.

i have the same problems on my 8820, its funny i never get it on my curve, but it happens all the time on my 8820.

rim's solution was to turn the phone off. press down the trackball hard and roll it in the direction u are having trouble with. to dislodge anything stuck in the trackball.

theres a q&a on the rim website, dont have it on me right now.

It's not un-common on the Curve or Pearl either. Have had and am still having these same issues with both handsets...
You are not alone.
