Hi,

To download the Blackberry Desktop Software please click this LINK. With regards to updating the device I will need to know the following information:

1. Who the device was originally purchased from? (the carrier logo should appear during startup)
2. What is the current firmware version? (Options > About)
3. What network carrier do you plan on using the device with?

Thanks,

Gary

Hi Gary,

Sorry, its actually a 8700, im doing this in regards to my friend.

He can not find the firmware, i presume it is just the version it would come with.

It was purchased from America and i believe rogers was the original network provider. And its being used on Telstra, using a Pre-Paid next-G sim card.

Cheers

Here is a download LINK for the Roger's 8700 firmware which is currently version 4.2.1.101. Once you download the firmware install it onto a machine running BlackBerry Desktop Manger. When you next connect your device and open Desktop Manager you should be prompted to update your device's firmware.
