Backup to SD card

We are using Verizon 8830 units with BES server 4.1.5. Is there anyway to backup the 8830 units software and settings to the MicroSD card natively? I'm sure there are third party options and I know you can backup to a notebook using the BB Desktop Software, but we were prefer to backup to the SD if possible. thanks...

At this stage I am not aware of any application that will backup the device settings to a MicroSD card. When using BlackBerry Desktop Manager you are able to perform a full device backup and when using BlackBerry Enterprise Server your handheld settings are saved via a wireless backup. If you find any 3rd party product please let us know.

There is a new application that is still in Beta at this stage, that allows you to back-up to your micro-sd card (as well as move applications from device memory to card). When it is out of beta and mainstream I will post details back here.
