Device Change-Over

Hi All,

I have been instructed to implement passwords on some 40 devices for my company. Presently some devices have local passwords only but not through IT Policy. Our current IT Policy has Content Protection enabled and in testing, when I apply a device to a password policy group, the device gets 'scrubbed' due to the content protection.

What I want to do to minimise downtime for each user is to replace their existing device with another, build it and then reclaim their original device that has content protection enabled.

Is it possible to assign a second device to the one user account on the BES?

Regards

Hi,

At this stage only one BlackBerry device can be assigned to a user on BES. I personally don't use content protection as a simple password provides enough security to ensure the content is secured. You may have found already the large impact on performance content protection has on the device? Just as an FYI even high security government sites don't even use content protection, the only site I know of using content protection is a large aeroplane manufacturing company that has to secure billion dollar secrets.

Cheers,

Gary
