Ring tone volume

One of the biggest complaints we have about the Verizon BB 8830 is the ring tone volume not being loud enough even when set at the highest level. So far we've not located any solutions. Does anyone have way to increase it? thanks...

Hi,

Normally the 8300 series devices are very loud when set on the highest ring volume. Can you please confirm that the user isn’t using a custom ringtone (e.g. MP3 music ringtone) that is recorded in low quality?

Thanks,

Gary

Ring tone Volume

It's actually the 8830 unit from Verizon. We are just using the standard ring tones that come with the unit. Even on the highest setting nearly all of our users have complained it isn't loud enough, even when using the Loud profile.

On one of the devices can you please do the following:

1. Open Profiles
2. Scroll to the bottom and select "Advanced"
3. From Advanced select the "(Active)" profile
4. Select Phone
5. Ensure "Out of Holster" and "In Holster" have the volume set to High
6. Exit and Save

Once you have confirmed the device is set to its highest level call the device to test the volume. In the event changes may have been made to the 8830 which reduce its volume there isn't much you can do except test newer firmware for improvements.
