Unsupported Authentification Scheme

Dears,

In our company, we use Blackberry 8800 and we have now developed an application which is published on a webserver. The website is available internal and external and is using windows authentification. With different devices such as HTC it is possible to get the login window to put in the logon credentials as: domain\user
password.

But not with the build in browser from 8800: Here I get the error message: unsupported authentification scheme.

Now we have tried the following steps to get rid of this issue:

.) In the enterprise manager: set the http authentification methode to true
.) delete browser service books on device and resend from server

Any idea here how to solve this issue?

cheers and thanks,
tornament

Hi,

As you have already set "Support HTTP Authentication" to True you need to ensure you have restarted the Blackberry MDS service. Also if you are using the BlackBerry browser on the device and you have configured MDS to access data via a proxy you need to ensure that proxy allows access to that intranet site. If required you may have to set a new proxy string in MDS for your intranet and set it to "Direct" to bypass your proxy server. Let us know if you need further assistance.

Thanks,

Gary
