Replacing keys fallen off 8800

A couple of our users have had keys fall off their 8800s. They work ok if you put the key back in the hole, but the keys won't stay in They appear to have been held in by being glued to a sheet of silicon, which they have been torn loose from.

Has anyone worked out a way to get the keys to stay in? We've been told the whole keypad needs replacing.

Has anyone else had this happen? I tried pulling a key out of a water damaged 8800, and it took some doing. I had to get my fingernail under it and pull quite hard. I'm guessing that these users were perhaps in the habit of keeping their phones in a tight pocket, requiring some force to pull them out.

I'm also posting this as a warning - don't try pulling the keys out of you 8800.

Maybe get a couple of Otterboxes for their devices. Link; We've Got Technology Covered // OtterBox.com
Great case and they can really take a beating.
