Email Reconciliation settings missing

I've got a user who's Email Reconciliation in message options, it is totally blank. No longer any options (they used to be in there) to 'delete on mailbox & handheld, wireless reconcile and conflicts etc.

The problem is that when the use gets the emails onto the device it deletes without user knowing

any ideas?

Hi,

If a device is deleting message automatically (or other data) it would normally indicate that Low Memory Manager is kicking in. To rectify this you need to uninstall some applications and restart the device to free some memory (e.g. uninstall any language packs that aren’t required). You can also resend the service books to try and rectify the Email Reconciliation but this may only temporarily fix the issue. Personally I would just wipe and reactivate the device as this would definitely resolve the issue and decrease the likelihood of this happening again.

Thanks,

Gary

I first wiped and reinstalled the device then activated it, it was worked ok!
Then it started this problem.

On the device go to "Options > Advanced Options > Enterprise Activation" and in the email field press and hold the ALT key and type CNFG. Once you enter this a hidden menu will appear and you need to change "Wireless Sync" to No, now exit this menu and wait 30 seconds and repeat the process but turn sync back to Yes. Once you've changed this setting you will see a slow sync will automatically start and it will repair all the wireless sync settings.

Hiya Gary, what does the "wireles sync" Yes/No actually do? (it doesn't seem to disable email sync'ing)

When Wireless Sync is disabled you only get a copy of the email and changes like deletions, read, unread and filed messages aren't reconciled.
