Voice Dialing - Locked Device

Hi All,

We have recently implemented a device password policy which locks a device after a set time of inactivity.

A device user has come back to me saying that before I forced the password on his device he was able to use the convenience key to activate the dialer - this is no longer happening now that the device is getting locked.

I have set the policy on the device to allow outgoing calls while locked but that still only brings up the enter number or name screen and the voice dialer still doesnt work.

Is there a way to allow the voice dialer function to operation with a locked device ?

Any assistance appreciated.

Hi,

If you are connected to a Bluetooth car kit or headset the function should work when the device is locked (I tested it on my Motorola HF-850 car kit). If you are not connected to a compatible Bluetooth device you cannot use the function until the unit is unlocked.
