Angry app error 523 reset

I have "app error 523 reset" appear just when I had entered loads of data.
When I updated OS and connected my BB 8800 I am asked for PIN code to proceed.
I am unable to enter PIN as screen seems frozen.I have tried removing battery & SIM card then replacing to no avail
Help as I'm almost tearing my hair out !!!

To resolve this issue you need to do the following:

1. Do a hard reset and see if the error is corrected (i.e. Remove and replace the battery)
2. Remove any applications that have been recently added. This is done from "Options> Advanced Options>Applications>Highlight the application and select Delete".
3. If steps 1 & 2 still result in the Error 523 you will need to reload the firmware again.
