Connection Preference determines how the BlackBerry smartphone attempts to connect to the wireless service provider's voice and data services. The following are options for the Connection Preference:

• Wi-Fi Preferred The BlackBerry smartphone uses a Wi-Fi® connection when possible. When not in a Wi-Fi coverage area, the BlackBerry smartphone uses a mobile network connection.
• Wi-Fi Only The BlackBerry smartphone only uses a Wi-Fi connection.
• Mobile Network Only The BlackBerry smartphone only uses a mobile network connection.
• Mobile Network Preferred The BlackBerry smartphone uses a mobile network connection when possible. When not in a mobile network coverage area, the BlackBerry smartphone uses a Wi-Fi connection.
