Hiding Filed messages

I have a user (8820 WIFI) who's configured her mailbox to hide all filed messages. It's not working - they remain in the main inbox. I have followed the procedure detailed here: (View Document) But they just won't get hidden. The BES admin informed me there wasn't any settings on her side that controls this....

Any idea ?

G.

Hi,

Are you seeing all filed messages in the inbox or only unread filed items?

Thanks,

Gary

All of them - read/unread. To quote her: "it's driving me bonkers". When the option to "Hide filed Messages" is set to YES and it's not behaving as advertised...

G.
Are the filed items displaying a different icon on the device (e.g. Folder icon instead of an envelope)? Also when you open one of these emails that have been filed scroll up to the top and confirm the "Folder:" location.

Hi again. Sorry for the delays but the user was on vacation. Here's her response:

The filed folders do appear with a different icon (a folder vs. an envelope). When looking at location of filed messages, it does indicate the correct folder (not inbox), where message is filed.

After the user opens one of these filed messages and then closes the message does it disappear?

Once one of these messages are opened, they do not dissappear.

Since the options "Hide Filed" is set to "Yes" the only thing left to try is wiping and reactivating the device.

This was done once already; before I registered here. But I suppose we could try it once more. A firmware upgrade perhaps.
