Gary, assuming you are on a blackberry unlimited plan, how has that initialisation string effected your data costs in your bill?

Regards

When using a Blackberry as a tethered modem all data is charged at an additional cost. Prior to setting up a Blackberry as a modem you need to arrange a standard data plan otherwise you will be charged "Pay as you go" rates.

Thanks Gary. Thats actually great to know.
Just looking at a glimpse at data plans...one would imagine they would make it competitive with the USB 3G data plans...but this is wishful thinking.

The data plan you add to the BlackBerry for tethered modem use are actually the same as the USB 3G data plans.
