Hi,

I have just configured the Bold as tethered modem and I can confirm it works. There are a few things that you will need to do to ensure that it works:

1. Desktop Manager 4.6 should be installed
2. Desktop Manager 4.6 must be opened in order for the standard modem driver to function.

Thanks,

Gary

I am with Telstra so I used the following "Extra Initialization Command":

+cgdcont=1,"IP","telstra.internet"

I would contact Vodafone to confirm that you have a data plan enabled and you don't have any WAP barring. Also I haven't been able to get YouTube to work at this stage even with the latest firmware.

I was able to get my Bold to work with my Mac via Bluetooth. I used the old 8800 modem script I had and it works a treat.

Not yet but I believe a device may be on the market soon that will allow this to happen.
