Hi need help, my emails are deleting for no reason from my blackberry, why and how to stop?
BlackBerry Device: 9800/9100
Device Firmware: v6+ (Beta)
Email Configuration: BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS)
Mobile Carrier & location: Telstra, Optus & Vodafone
Bold OS 4.6.0.266 Found Online | BerryReview.com
NOTE: Do not install this software if you do not know what you are doing. It may make your BlackBerry FUBAR or just plain angry.
As per normal. Let us know what you think... (Apart from the really slow download speed)

Hi,
As Greg mention first try a hard reset of your device but you need to ensure your device isn't running out of memory. If your device memory is low your device will first delete call logs and then SMS if required to clear space. In the event memory is still low it will start clearing emails. The first thing to do is check the available memory via Options > Status > File Free and if it is low you need to check the following:
1. Ensure photos are set to be saved on the external memory (Open the Camera > Press menu > Select Options > Ensure Store Pictures is set to Media Card)
2. If you have transferred and music to the device ensure it is on the external memory
3. Delete and unrequired applications or language packs via Options > Advanced Options > Applications > Highlight an application > Press menu Select Delete.
If you need any help determining the amount of free memory please post back. Also your device is running extremely old firmware that has a number of known issues. Please request your BlackBerry Administrator to upgrade your device using the firmware below:
OPTUS - BlackBerry Bold 9000 Firmware Version v4.6.0.247
Thanks,
Gary

hmm its never happened on any previous beta firmware for me.. i usually upgrade when a new one is leaked and this is the first time its happened.. o well no biggy.
If it is just prompting for the core update you can perform this update again and it should stop showing that an update is available. If you are getting prompted for the language updates these are persistent. Please note that if this is on your BES device it will need to be activated onto the server again if the update is performed.
