No problem, glad i could help you out.

Will post back when i get a loader happening for the branding file but it doesn't look like there will be a solution for this any time in the near future at this stage

Just a thought for a potentially lateral view of this --

just as a matter of interest, which .cod file contains/ed the brand splashscreen/wallpaper (if indeed, that is where it once lived)? There are buckets of hard-coded picture files lying around in the .cod files, but how did the Vodafone (or Verizon or whatever) wallpaper get there in the first place? If via a firmware install, then there must be a way to overwrite the branded logo with something, like ... oh I don't know, say, the attached files.

Cheers.
DrJoe

Hey Altadr,

just wondering if you have any news to report on this? Could the BBSAK be of use?

Cheers,
DrJoe

It is possible to hack out the splashscreen but it is a hack on the internal fw.

Hi altadr, wondering how you're going with the unbranding? I've got a US verizon storm 9530 and there's too much stuff locked out by them. I can't turn off sms received confirmation which telstra charge an extra .05c for each sms/txt. A wee bit expensive and not really an option.. also can't set up call forwarding, ie busy, not contactable, etc.. Really love the storm, but can't use it yet..

Cheers
