.148 for 9500

Seems the US/9530 owners got a present overnight and got an OS upgrade:

Leaked 4.7.0.148 for 9530! - BlackBerry Forums at CrackBerry.com

If the past is anything to judge by, hopefully .148 is around the corner for 9500 owners. This is somewhat surprising considering everyone assumed next upgrade would be OS 5.

NB; This version will not work on the 9500 as is made for the 9530.
There is an official newer version release for the 9500 just around the corner (week or so). Haven't seen much in the way of 5.0 for the Storm yet. Maybe only a Storm 2 project.

Perhaps your device is faulty? I haven't had a single device crash since christmas.

With every release I hope my random crashes and "white screen of death" problems go away. But I now suspect it is the Storm not the firmware that has the problem.

I have tried every version since .78 and I still don't have a reliable phone.

Why Mr RIM?

I have a similar issue with a reboot cycle, what happens with yours?

I have tried every version of firmware for the Storm and have never experienced the issues you are reporting. This leads me to believe it "may" be a hardware fault.

My dramas are happening right now....again!

The usual "white screen of death", reboot, verifying security settings, normal home screen and......... crash!

Battery pulls don't fix it and at this point I am waiting to see if it gets going after 5 reboots as previously mentioned. So far it has done 4 in a row. Ooops I spoke too soon, it's now 5 and I still don't have a working phone. Too bad if anyone is trying to contact me urgently.

I am getting really pissed off with this phone.

Just a thought, does anyone know how to create an on-line survey? I would really like to find out how satisfied people are with their Storms. It is obviously not just a few people with dodgy phones.

I think the problem is OS .141 because I had this as well with it installed. I just did a wipe and went back to the official Vodafone AU OS release. None of the other OS are stable on my phone...
