Greg, I have installed this firmware update and it works really well (mostly). A few issues though:

1. I downloaded and installed the file that you linked us to on post #21. The firmware ID comes up as 5.0.0.216 - not 328 (?)
2. There seems to be a display refresh problem - mainly on the home screen where the pixels don't update properly when scrolling (has also happened when reading messages)
3. Does not play media files very well (causes issues)

Has anyone got an up to date link for 328 (or did I get the wrong one)?

My previous version was 4.0.0.167, so this update looks really nice and is fast, but the previous one was more stable.

Hi,
I beleive that its R328 and does show as 5.0.0.216

I too have seen screen issues, on mine I sometimes loose the bottom row of buttons with the screen in both orientations, but changing to the other then back again fixes it at that time. Also I have found that media player will sometimes stop after track 1 of an album.

Here's waiting for the next leak

Regards

Chris

Ok: after a few hours of searching. I found some live links for you.
http://dateiverzeichnis.net/dl/xyyxgel6
RapidShare: 1-CLICK Web hosting - Easy Filehosting
Both are working at this time and both are v5.0.0.328 for the 9500.
Sorry it has taken so long to get these.

Is it just me, or have some of the options for the voice dialing disappeared?

A while ago i got into a option to turn down the volume of the playback on the voice dialing. But now i can't find this option to turn it back up?
The only options are "Choice lists" and "Audio Prompts". What do these actually do anyway?
Also when i press the "Adapt Voice" button, it doesn't do anything.

Also the accuracy of the voice dialing has gone completely out the window. I say my girlfriends name as clearly as possible and it never finds her contact (where it would always get it first time before this OS)... maybe the Storm is jealous of the GF and doesn't want me to talk to her :P

Another issue i've found with this OS is most 2+ part SMS's are not coming through properly. Only the first message comes through...

You won't need to used DM to install this update.

Once you have downloaded the update, extract it & execute it.

Next step you must remove the Vendor file. In the same folder the Vendor.xml file is hiding, open up 'Loader.exe' and the install will kick off from there.

Hope this helps.

Have had this update running for a couple of weeks & I'm lovin' it.

Only two issues I have are:

1/ Long SMS's are irritating to try and proof read before sending in the threaded SMS format, as you only have 3 lines displayed when in compose mode. Can this be changed??

2/ The tool bar in the browser constantly defaulting to display after I go back to a previous page, or open a new link. With the previous version I had, this tool bar would be hidden unless I wanted it up. Getting a little annoying have to constantly minimise it!!

Any help would be appreciated!!
