Using .600 . Is seems to work great on my Torch. GPS seems a bit a bit quick and finds my locations more accurately. Everything seems a little snappier as well.

Only issue I have found that at times it freezes while on my docking pod.

Was running OK for a couple of weeks but now the battery will go flat over-night with nothing but the network on. Apps are very slow to open...even done multiple battery pulls with no change...any thoughts?

Gary, what is the process to go back to an earlier version OS? BB Desktop doesn't see it as an update.

If you open Desktop Software 6 > In the top left select Device and the Update > When prompted select the Other versions options > Select an older release and then follow the prompts.

Mmmm embarrassing!! found that I had too many apps running in the background. Didn't realise that if you hold down the BB key then it will show you all the apps that are running all the time. Deleted unnecessary apps and it is as fast as ever.

Not sure why I noticed it today, but my date format is in the US style. I'd like to change it to dd/mm/yyyy. Searched the user manual and the forum, but apart from a thread on another model regarding fixes in a firmware update, I cannot find any means to do it. Any assistance much appreciated.

    G'day Garry,

My Blackberry Torch still has the original firmware so I decided to up grade to the 6.0.0.600 firmware.

I've downloaded and installed the new 6.0.0.600 firmware to my PC but when I start the Desktop Software I'm not presented with any options to upgrade my firmware.

I've clicked the "Update" option with the internet disconnected and it prompts that "there are no blackberry device software updates available".

Any ideas on how I can get my BB to accept the new firmware?

    Thanks,

    Phill.

Hi I read your notes but I can't seem to get the update going, the update prompt doesn't pop-up and I tried telling it to update manually but it says there isn't any new updates.

I'm running the Blackberry desktop software ver. 6.1.0.35, maybe i have to install an older version?

    Thx

I got it to work now, don't know why but it seems you need to have internet connection to update it... v weird especially since it didn't work before but for some reason it does now
