Ugh - the download site is PAINFULLY slow. 24.3k/sec on a 15mb connection.

Timed out the first two times I tried, fingers crossed for 3rd time...

I will upload all the service packs to our server over the next few days and post the link when available.

Below is a link to the BES 4.1 Service Pack 6 for Domino. This installer is sitting on our high speed download server so it will download very quickly depending on your internet connection.

Thanks Gary.

I have just finished the download from your site.

Are there any particularly steps that need to be taken to install the SP?

Hi,

The first thing you need to do is log onto the BES and check the BlackBerry services to see which service account is configured to run the services (a.k.a BlackBerry Service Account). Once you have determined which account was used to install the BES logon with that account and run the installer. Once the installer starts leave all settings as default and steps through all the setup screens until you are prompted to restart. After the restart logon using the BlackBerry Service Account and the setup will automatically resume, just select next until the setup is complete. In the event the installer doesn't automatically start after the reboot just run setup.exe from the extracted setup files.

Thanks,

Gary

Thank you so very much. I _HATE_ having to do BES updates because the RIM site is so incredibly slow. I downloaded a patch a few days ago that took 8 hours, and then IE deleted it!
So in summary, thanks for providing an alternate URL

If installing a new BES server, can I install from the file besn_upgrader_4.1.6.exe or do I have to run the base 4.1 executable then upgarde to SP 6 by running besn_upgrader_4.1.6.exe?

Hi,

Unfortunately you can't perform a new install using this upgrade package. You are able to obtain a full installer which has SP6 bundled from RIM; you normally request this via your network carrier if you don’t have a support contract with RIM.

Thanks,

Gary
