Device firmware v4.5.0.xx should be rolled out on all networks worldwide over the next 2 weeks or so.

If the package is 4.5.0.52 & application version is 4.5.0.37, how does that compare with the latest beta versions of 4.5.0.55 - is it likely that this final release won't contain all the tweaks of the latest beta?

I've read that there were issues with camera functionality & memory leaks in the beta 4.5.0.37 versions, so I'm interested in whether this release would have addressed these issues....

The numbering can get pretty confusing, but here are the known releases to date:
4.5.0.X (rel < 74) = beta releases which were not released by any carriers
4.5.0.52 (rel 75) = current release by Telstra and Optus
4.5.0.55 (rel 81) = current release from overseas carriers (multilanguage, multi-carrier)
4.5.0.69 (rel 96) = beta release which was not released by RIM.

I have tried all three releases and 4.5.0.52 will do the job but will have memory leaks and a few niggly issues.
4.5.0.55 (rel 81) is one of the best releases to date and memory leaks have been reduced significantly - I would recommend to download this release.
4.5.0.69 is a beta release which is even better (much more stable and very few leaks), but this has not been released by RIM or any carrier (don't ask for the links as this could get this forum into trouble with RIM).

Most memory leaks are due to third party applications, so if you want to upgrade the OS and don't use many 3rd party apps, then this won't affect you as much.
