version 216 update - minor browser issue

I did the update. It took about 30+ minutes. The browser in column mode now overlaps rather than having a clean vertical run of text. It does not separate a left hand menu from the right hand text in the webpage

    Hi,
It is an official Telstra firmware version so yes, it should help a few of the issues you are having.
Download then install the firmware via your PC using Desktop manager.
Let us know if you need any direction through or help.
    Kind Regards,
    Greg Myers

I am not sure what other issues there are with the Telstra blackberry phone software. Other websites work ok, it is one that I access a lot that is having the problem with the column view in the browser. Between Telstra and blackberry I still don't have an answer as to why this happened (the page worked well before the upgrade, now it doesn't - something has changed).

Hi and welcome to the forum,
The .247 firmware is one of the most stable around for the Bold and it will not matter what carrier it is from as long as you delete the vendor .xml file upon install.
It is either a 3rd party application issue or simply a network issue. Try switching the device down to 2G only and see if that resolves the problem.
If not, post a list of 3rd party applications you are running on your device and will have a look.
    Hope this helps,
    Kind Regards,
    Greg Myers

    Thanks alot

okay i think its from the 3G , because i formatted my memory card and my device memory , and there were no apps installed ... and was still getting the same issue

( its like .. connected to bis + 3g ... then the bis disconnects and after seconds .. the 3g logo disappears then the phone restarts)

i've downgraded my bold now to this version .. telstra

and i'll see if it fixes the problem , but the problem is even if it fixes the problem ... its not multilang ? there is no arabic with it

On my bold I've checked the wireless upgrade option and it states that there is No Upgrades Available! Will Telstra allow you to do firmware updates OTA or can they only be done through Desktop Manager?

    Couple of things here;
    1) If you are running .216 or higher already, then your device will not upgrade as the upgrade matches the current.
    2) At this stage, only Optus are offering wireless upgrades. (Other carriers will follow shortly hopefully)
