Wirelessly posted (RIM BlackBerry Curve 8300: BlackBerry8300/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/122)

I have a 3-branded Sony Ericsson M600i, for which BlackBerry Connect is available as a seperate (free) download...

If I was to start using this with my Telstra BlackBerry Individual Solution (BIS) plan with this device, would all of the 3-branded parts (links, start-up/shut-down screens, etc...) be removed during the initial setup, when Telstra pushes through their settings and applications?

Also, from a compatibility perspective, would there be any issues with using a Telstra BIS on a 3-branded device?

From a functionality-perspective, how does the BIS differ on a BlackBerry Connect device, for a user coming from a native BlackBerry device?

Assuming 3 don't SIM lock their devices you will be able to use BlackBerry Connect with Telstra without any issues. The major change you notice going from a BlackBerry to a BlackBerry Connect device is the normal phone keypad layout and the different email interface. When you use BlackBerry Connect it just integrates Blackberry email into the devices current email system. Now when it comes to web browsing you have no option except to use WAP so all additional data is charged.

Forgive me if this sounds like a stupid question, but wouldn't they push-out an equivalent of the BlackBerry browser, so that one could access the Internet under their BlackBerry plan?

I'm reluctant to use my M600i anyway - it has a keypad that operates in a similar fashion to Research in Motion's SureType technology, which I despise with a passion... I used it (my M600i) for two weeks when one of my keyboard-featured phones was getting fixed and by the end of the two weeks, I felt like throwing it against a wall!

There is no BlackBerry Browser on Connect devices.
